Where is the final answer to Covid-19?

To understand the direction of research, it is imperative to know the importance of nitric oxide and its healing properties for humans. Professor Ferid Murad who won the Nobel Prize in Medicine in 1998 never knew some day his work will provide the answer.


Nitric Oxide is a natural Nano molecule which is produced by our bodies. The anti-microbial properties directly affect viruses including SARS-CoV-2 which causes Covid-19.
The trials have already started in the UK on a spray Nasal spray being called SaNOtize which mainly has Nitric Oxide as its constituent. It is designed to kill the virus in the upper airway itself. The treatment kills the virus up to 99.9% as per the results of tests conducted so far. The treatment base will be further broadened as a nasal spray, throat gargle or nasal lavage.


Coronavirus is transmitted via droplets which are airborne. It attaches to the mucous membrane in the nose. The incubation period is generally three days when the virus replicates at a fast rate. It damages nasal mucosa cells and then via nasal secretions travels to the lower respiratory tract. This leads to severe symptoms and could lead to a fatal viral pneumonia.
Nitric Oxide is being planned to be used as a multi-stage defence system. The aim will be to kill the virus before it damages the mucosa cells and not allow it to replicate. This will prevent inflammatory immune response of our body and will prevent lungs from getting affected.


Besides the treatment benefits for the patients, it is also believed that the person who is taking the nasal spray will not be a major transmitter of virus. Since the efficacy of the spray is expected to be above 90% in killing the virus, those who administer the medicine may not be carriers.
The spray will not be expensive and will be easy to make, store, transport and use.
