Myth #1

Eating after 8 pm will make you gain weight.

Fact #1

It is not the time at or after which you eat results in weight loss or weight gain. You need to consume only a specific amount of calories in a day. You can spread them out over the entire day and evening. However, if you have consumed all the required calories in the first half of the day and try to starve in the evening. You might indulge in unhealthy snacking or overeating later in the night both of which will lead to weight gain. Also, do not hit the bed immediately after your last meal.

Multigrain bread is healthier than white bread.

Fact #2

The multigrain bread may sound healthy, but what you need to concentrate on is if it contains refined flour or not. The content you should look out for is whole wheat which contains the nutrient bran and germ.

Diet Coke is better than Regular Coke.

Fact #3

Diet Soda contains artificial sweeteners which make your body crave sugar and you end up eating more sweets and calories.

Egg Yolk is unhealthy.

Fact #4

The truth is egg yolks contain loads of micronutrients such as calcium, iron, magnesium, potassium, sodium, zinc, and vitamins A, B, E, and K.

Myth #5

Gluten-free is healthy.

Fact #5

Eating natural gluten-free food is healthy such as quinoa, sweet potatoes, and millets. However, processed gluten-free food is surely not a healthy choice.
